EICR remedial work in Newham
Fixed-price remedial work and consumer unit replacement across E6, E7, E13, E15 and E16, from Forest Gate terraces to new-build flats in Stratford and the Royal Docks. Send the report from whoever inspected the property and we'll price it within the hour.
On a board job there is no call-out charge. A deposit books your slot and the balance is due once the work is done and certified, with our money-back guarantee behind it.

What fails in Newham housing stock
Newham has a large private rented sector and two very different housing types: long terraced streets in the north and east, and newer blocks along the Lea and the docks.
Terraced houses in Forest Gate, East Ham and Manor Park
Late Victorian and Edwardian terraces fill Forest Gate, East Ham, Manor Park, Plaistow and the streets off Green Street in Upton Park. A large number are let as whole houses to sharers or split into flats. Typical findings: an older board with no RCD protection, bonding missing or undersized, and circuits added over time for extra rooms, a loft or a rear extension. In a shared house the inspector also tests more rooms and more alarms, so the list of observations is often longer.
Stratford, E20 and the Royal Docks
The flats around Stratford, the former athletes' village at East Village and the blocks in Canning Town, Silvertown and the Royal Docks are much newer. They seldom need a new board. Reports here more often list missing labels, an RCD that fails its trip test, damaged accessories or alarm coverage. The building's managing agent controls working hours, lifts and any isolation.
Beckton and post-war estates
Beckton's housing largely dates from the 1980s Docklands redevelopment, and Canning Town and Custom House have post-war estates. Boards from that period are often split-load units in plastic enclosures, now old enough to fail on RCD protection or obsolete devices.
A terrace let room by room has more circuits, more alarms and often a longer report. You pay for what the report lists, and if anything changes the price we tell you in writing before we start.
Licensing in Newham
Newham Council runs selective licensing for privately rented homes that are not HMOs, covering every ward except Stratford Olympic Park and Royal Victoria. Shared houses fall under the council's HMO licensing instead. A satisfactory electrical report is part of keeping a rented home safe, so clearing the remedials in your 28 days matters on a licensed property. Check the council's current scheme for your address.

Questions from Newham landlords
I let my Newham house to sharers. Will the remedial work cost more?
The prices on this page are the same however many tenants live there. A shared house usually has a longer report, with more alarms and accessories, and you pay only for the items it lists.
My flat is in East Village or another managed block in E20. How does access work?
The managing agent sets the working hours, the lift booking and whether a permit is needed. Send us their contact with the report and we agree the arrangements before the date, so the visit is not turned away at the front desk.
Can you quote from an EICR another firm carried out?
Yes. The price is built from the report, not from who wrote it. Send the PDF and you get each item priced in writing.
Do you work with letting agents in Newham?
Yes, for remedials and inspections on one account, invoiced monthly with evidence filed for each property. The agents page explains how.
